Fatal Crash East of Fernley

A driver is dead after colliding with a cow on U.S. 50 about 61 miles east of Fallon Thursday. The accident occurred just before 6 o’clock. The name of the driver is not being released pending notification of next of kin. Both the driver and the cow were killed in the crash.MORE

Nevada Unemployment Hits Nine Year Low

Nevada’s unemployment rate has fallen to a nine-year low. The state Department of Employment and Training says Nevada’s jobless rate was 5.2 percent in November.
