From Reno-Tahoe International Airport:
RENO, Nev. (Sept. 5, 2025) – The Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) will welcome new nonstop service to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) on Frontier Airlines beginning Nov. 22, 2025, with flights operating twice weekly.
The new route marks Frontier’s third destination from RNO since the airline’s return in March 2025 with service to Las Vegas (LAS) and Denver (DEN). The addition of Phoenix reflects Frontier’s growing commitment to northern Nevada and provides travelers with another convenient option to one of the Sun Belt’s most popular cities.
“Seeing Frontier expand its service from RNO so quickly after its return is a great sign of the strength of our market,” said Daren Griffin, President/CEO of the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. “With three carriers now offering nonstop flights to Phoenix, our travelers benefit from more competition, more choices and better connectivity for business and leisure travel.”
Frontier Airlines’ new service marks another milestone in RNO’s commitment to expanding air service options and enhancing the travel experience for the community. With this new route, passengers can easily connect to Phoenix’s vibrant downtown, thriving arts and cultural scene and year-round sports attractions, all while enjoying Frontier’s signature low fares.
“We are excited to soon begin offering our ultra-low fare flights from Reno to Phoenix, which offers many connecting opportunities to destinations beyond,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines. “With the new service and major loyalty and product upgrades on the way – including First Class seats – we can’t wait to welcome even more travelers aboard America’s Low Fare Airline.”
