(Las Vegas, NV) — The state of Nevada continues to deal with the fallout from a major cyberattack. Some state services have now been down for four days. State officials now say “malicious actors” moved data out of state networks. They also confirm some data was compromised during what is being called a “sophisticated, ransomware-based” cyberattack. The specific data that was affected has still not been identified. The attack was first detected early Sunday. All Nevada DMV offices remain shut down. The DMV says it will waive late fees and penalties caused by the closure.
