The Nevada Department of Wildlife is planning to stock the Sparks Marina with 2,500 Tiger Trout. NDOW will be stocking the Marina with fish from the Mason Valley Hatchery on April 9 at 11:00 am. Last month, 5,000 rainbow trout were added to the Marina.MORE

Multiple Earthquakes Reported Northwest of Reno

The United States Geological Survey reported two earthquakes in the Plumas National Forest of magnitudes 4.5 and 4.3 last night. They struck about 6:34 p.m. about 88 miles northwest of Reno. Teen Facing Arson Charges in Dayton

A teenager now facing arson charges. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Central Lyon County Fire Protection District responded to a brush fire yesterday evening in the Woodlake Circle area of northeast Dayton. Reno Fire Releases Annual Report Card

Reno Fire says they responded to 30-thousand medical calls, and made just over 49-thousand calls for service in 2023. That’s from their annual report which was just released. Operations Chief John McNamara says they also investigated 260 fires and made 12 arson arrests.MORE
