Reno City Manager Takes Leave

Reno City Manager Andrew Clinger has notified City of Reno employees via email that he will be taking a voluntary leave of absence for 15 business days, effective August 8th. In Clinger’s absence, Assistant City Manager Bill Thomas will serve as Acting City Manager. Clinger is facing accusations of sexual harassment and denies any wrongdoing.MORE

The Alder Fire Burning Southwest of Lake Tahoe

The Alder fire is burning about 25 miles southwest of lake Tahoe, on the south side of Highway 50 in the Eldorado National Forest near Sand Flat campground. Council Approves Harassment Probe

The Reno City council has agreed to a new independent investigation into sexual harassment claims against City Manager Andrew Clinger.  It’s expected to take three or four weeks, and could cost up to 50 thousand dollars.
