Nevada Getting Federal Money to Fight Zika

Nevada is going to get nearly $700,000 in federal funds in the battle against the spread of the Zika virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Thursday announced that the Silver State will get$690,000 of the $60 Millon allocated for the fight against the disease. Sparks Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons who have vandalized multiple businesses and vehicles with graffiti. Mailbox Vandal Steals Mail in SW Reno

A thief is hitting community mail boxes in southwest Reno, by prying open the locks.  The US Postal Service is responding by sticking notices in mail boxes, warning them of the theft, and encouraging them to report any suspicious activity.
