Fatal Crash Under Investigation in Fernley

One person is dead and another has substantial injuries after a crash Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 50 Alternate at Nevada Pacific Parkway in Fernley, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported.  The NHP said a suspected impaired driver caused the crash by not stopping at a stop sign and is in custody.MORE

Crews Called to Apartment Fire in Carson City

Six people are displaced following a Wednesday fire on the west side of Carson City.  The Carson City Fire Department responded to the fire at apartments at 410 Winnie Lane about 6:15 p.m. and had it quickly knocked down.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.MORE

Nevada Governor’s New COVID-19 Restrictions Are Now in Effect

The new COVID restrictions announced by Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak on Sunday are now in effect. Fire in Mono County Now 65% Contained

The Mountain View Fire in Mono County is now 65 percent contained and the fire’s size has been adjusted slightly down to 20,385 acres. The number of fire personnel has dropped from 211 Saturday to 202 Sunday. The containment line is not complete, but fire activity is minimal.MORE
