Fire Restrictions Loosened on Nevada Campgrounds

Fire restrictions are being loosened today to allow campfires in designated campgrounds within Nevada. The BLM, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and Nevada Division of Forestry jointly announced the change, while noting that Nevada has had 709 fires burning 249,700 acres. Most were human-caused. Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle on Mill Street

Westbound Mill Street was closed in the area of Yori Avenue last night after a vehicle hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Nevada is Back on The New York Quarantine List

Because of surging cases of Covid 19, Nevada is back on the 14 day quarantine list for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. It means anyone traveling to those states from Nevada must quarantine for two weeks upon arrival. The rule is based on a rolling average of positive test results of 10% or more.MORE
