Forward progress has been stopped on the Peterson Fire after burning about 22 acres. It is on the east side of U.S. 395 about 2.5 miles south of the northern intersection of Red Rock Road with U.S. 395. The fire’s cause remains under investigation, but it is believed to be human-caused.MORE

One Person Injured in Rollover on McCarran

McCarran Boulevard was closed in both directions between Sutro Street and Evans Avenue last night following a rollover accident. A University of Nevada, Reno Police Department officer found a Jeep on its side with a person trapped inside.
