Arrest Made in Dayton Fire

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says one man has been arrested in connection to a fire at the old railroad station in Dayton. Investigators say 63-year-old Kurt Selzer, of Ventura California, was found after a second brush fire. Central Lyon Fire Protection District says the depot was a total loss.MORE

Record Number of COVID-19 Cases Reported Tuesday in Nevada

The same day the state of Nevada reported a record number of COVID-19 cases, Washoe County reported 13 new cases and 12 recoveries. Washoe County has 2,016 infections on Tuesday. Mosquito Abatement Begins in Carson City

Carson City Health and Human Services started treating the area for mosquitoes this week. Nevada’s Minimum Wage Will Rise on July 1st

Nevada’s minimum wage goes up July 1st. Assembly Bill 456 that passed in 2019 bumps the rate up 75 cents annually through 2024. That’s $3.75 over five years. Motorcyclist in The Hospital Following Crash in Reno

A motorcyclist is in the hospital following a crash early this morning on California Avenue. The Reno Police Department says the crash involved a vehicle and a motorcycle and are continuing to investigate. It happened near the intersection of California Avenue and Newlands Circle.
