A Sparks Police Officer, conducting an investigation, was involved in a shooting in Reno on Mt. Rose Street near Plumas. A Sparks Police official says the officers involved were looking for wanted subjects. No one was injured in the shooting, but a full investigation is now underway. Fewer Fatalities on Nevada Roads
Fewer people died on Nevada roads in June than they did a year earlier. The Nevada Department of Public Safety reports 16 deaths which is almost half as many deaths as reported in June a year ago.
