Detwiler Fire in California Contained at Over 81,000 Acres

A wildfire that burned in the rugged mountains outside Yosemite National Park destroying 63 homes and 67 other structures, and sent smoke to northern Nevada has been fully contained. Driver Crashes Car Into Law Office in Carson City

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office says a car crashed into a building on 4th and Curry, last night. The crash happened just before 8pm. A woman in her 60’s, lost control of her car and went airborne into a law office building. The woman had to be air lifted to Renown.MORE

Reno Man Confesses to Multiple Burglaries

Reno Police have arrested a suspect involved in several recent robberies and attempted robberies. RPD Sergeant John Silver was in the downtown area when he saw a man he thought he’d seen in surveillance photos. Officers spoke with the suspect, and police say he confessed to four incidents. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office says the man accused of slashing a deputy in the head Friday night has a lengthy criminal history.
