(KOH) – According to the Nevada Division of Minerals, Nevada’s gold production rose slightly last year, increasing by 2.6% over 2015 to almost 5.5 million ounces, with a market value of nearly 6.9 billion dollars. Lyon County Worried About Walker River Flows

Illegal Dumper Caught Red Handed

A Sun Valley man is facing charges of illegal dumping. Thanks to a tip from a citizen, 37 year old Brandon Kimpton was caught in the act by Washoe Sheriffs Deputies, about 820 Thursday morning, dumping yard waste from a trailer in an open area along Chimney Drive. He faces misdeanor charges.MORE

Scientists Say Climate Change in Hurting Lake Tahoe Clarity

Clarity levels at Lake Tahoe in 2016 increased in winter and decreased in summer 2016.
