Truck Crashes Into Paradise Park

A pickup truck crashed through a fence into Paradise Park Wednesday night just before 10 O’clock. According to police the vehicle took the curve on Elementary Drive near Bernice Mathews Elementary School too fast and crashed into the fence. NV Energy Closes Aging Coal Plant

A coal fired plan in Moapa is now closed. The Reid-Gardner plant operated for more than 50 years. Fatal Crash East of Fernley

The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a fatal accident about 25 miles east of Fernley. NHP says the early morning crash involved a semi and a box truck. The State of Nevada, Washoe County and the North Valleys Incident Command Team have begun a short-term, temporary plan to prevent the spread of flood waters in Lemmon Valley. Criminal Aliens Caught in Nevada Sweep

61 people were arrested in a five day “ICE”  operation in Nevada last week,  that targeted criminal aliens, illegal re-entrants and fugitives. 25 people were taken into custody in Reno.
