(Sparks, NV) – Sparks police have made an arrest tied to alleged child abuse. Officers say they were called to a home along 5th street around 1:30 Saturday morning for a man who allegedly hurt a one-year-old child. After meeting with their parents, they identified Jorge Gonzalez as the suspect, saying he was talking to himself when he hit the child with a rock. The child suffered a cut but they didn’t require major medical attention. Gonzalez was arrested and charged with felony child abuse and assault with a deadly weapon.
