(Reno, NV) – A prominent republican figure in Nevada will not run for Mark Amodei’s Congressional seat. Sam Brown on Tuesday said he plans on upholding his duty to serve the state of Washington and to continue serving veterans as Under Secretary of Memorial Affairs. Brown previously ran for the U.S. Senate in Nevada and many viewed him as a strong contender for Amodei’s seat, which will be vacated at the end of his term. This comes after Amodei announced his retirement a few weeks ago.
