(Sparks, NV) – A Sparks man was found guilty of beating up his wife last May 2024. City Attorney Wes Duncan said Cory Boteler was convicted of domestic battery after he brandished a butcher’s knife and threatened to stab her. Boteler lated lunged at his wife while she tried calling for help, and she subdued him with pepper spray until police arrived. Boteler was arrested in November of last year and will serve a suspended 180-day sentence, which also states he must take domestic violence classes.
